How to make a cell phone battery last longer?

Preserving energy in a cell phone battery can be a daunting task, especially while travelling. Follow these tips to retain power in the cell phone.

  • First step is to compare the performance of the cell phone battery to the battery charge described in the user manual for the cell phone. If the battery has not been living up to the expected performance level it is recommended to be replaced or repaired.
  • Turn off the cell phone whenever possible. If one is in a location where it is difficult to attend any calls, then ideally switch off the mobile phones.
  • The cell phone also should be changed with better features and capacity. It ensures that the signals are captured properly. A major power drain in any cell phone battery is the constant searching of signals. If the cell phone repeater is not there and the location is a remote area chances are that the cell phone keeps searching for signals and eventually turn off the cell phone.
  • It is recommended to avoid using the vibration mode. The vibration feature requires more power and more the cell phone is vibrated the more charge the battery drains out.
  • Deactivate all the features that are not needed or used. Features such as display backlight, camera, Web browser, Bluetooth features, and GPS utilities use more power for operation. Finally, check if the battery power retention capacity is good and reliable.
